I'm staring down the barrel of turning 50 very soon and the subject of settling down reared it's ugly head with my olds. Now here's the thing. I've been happily single for the last 7 or thereabouts years.....My life is pretty much ticking along unstressed
So what's with the settling down speech? Do they mean find a woman, get married and do all the menial crap that goes with the territory or what? Nobody wants to elaborate on what their version of settling down is. Apparently I'm avoiding responsibility. I have a good job, I don't have people chasing me for money (bills etc) I guess I could say "yeah I'm more than settled" in my own way so why can't people accept that?...….Rant over. |
