Community Music Newsletter

The songwriter I work with and I have cooked up an idea that we think is really cool, and this felt like the best place to get some feedback. The idea is to create a newsletter to circulate in our area that will create a community of musicians that will support each other at live gigs, increasing each others' following and working with the venue owners to provide specials that will provide more incentive for people to participate at the shows. There is nothing like it in our area currently, and it seems like it could benefit everyone involved if we can get it right. Thoughts?

A Facebook Group would be a better idea.
