What you're doing is FORCING a perspective I don't have onto me. If Bill wants to be called Sally I'll call him Sally all he wants but why should I have to identify him as a female if I don't see him that way? Because some magical rule decides that gender identity issues are more important than any other identity issues?

It's extremely creepy. I can't imagine pushing a live human out of me, watching it scream and cry as it adjusts to this new and horrible place with all of its bright lights and noises and think "yeah, let's cut up this infant's penis because reasons"

Oftentimes, the kind of people who think it's fine ("I was spanked, and I turned out great!") are living proof of why it's not. It's unnerving to me how young children are often treated like animals or robots rather than the complex human beings they are-- but, people are often too lazy to learn and practice better methods for dealing with tantrums and the like.

You are definitely thinking too much to the point you think there is some magical rule. Someone comes up to you and says their pronouns are they/them. Just address them as such or don't bother interactimg with them at all.
