I'd always kinda thought it pertained to males' propensity for greater risk taking. Like that guy who climbs cranes on top of skyscrapers and then does pull-ups off them without a tether--I bet he skews the data.

It's funny you say that, just last night I got into a heated argument with my sister at a family meal. She brought up cultural appropriation and I rolled my eyes so hard I could see the inside of my skull.
