Choice of mind set
How many people here find it hard to be open minded?
How many find it hard to be close minded? Which would you prefer? |
That's a weird question. I guess I would rather be closed minded if I had to choose one, since open mindedness is usually college kid slang for do whatever other people are doing that sounds cool lol. As stupid as closed minded people can be at least they tend to do their own thing.

Well in my opinion, you have your pros and cons for opene mindedness. It's good to open your mind to new things because you never know what you like until you discover it for yourself. But sometimes it's best to not be so curious about everything but then again it depends what you want to open your mind to, being close minded, you limit yourself only to what you've adapted to and sometimes the same thing gets boring so you want something different to spice up what u already know.

I prefer being open minded cause it's alot more rewarding. imo being close minded is the easiest route to take. it's self indulging in your comfort zone and that kinda thing may be good for your individuality at times but it can also stunt your growth as a person.
If you compare what you gain/lose from both mindsets, being open minded would be the one to strive for. |

I'm open-minded to good things.
I open my mind like I open my mouth: to close it again on something wholesome. No, not dicks. Just preempting Batlord. |

I trust my instincts. Like, my instincts tell me that LSD and MDMA are okay in moderation but that I shouldn't roll those dice with, say, heroin. And so far, things have gone along swimmingly.

Gotta be open minded. Don't automatically believe what people are telling you. Trust facts and rationale over feelings. Embrace having your opinion changed.
