Three of my friends have passed away in the recent weeks, and all from heart related issues. I've already been to one wake/funeral and I'll have another on Saturday. I don't think I'll make the 3rd one since I'll be out of town. Just another part of getting old.

I'm sorry Plank, that's awful.

Like, funny as in how predictable or stereotypic that dynamic was.

The lesbian thing was a big part of the setting so I couldn't omit it.

Can't argue with the rest, apologies for whatever unpleasantness I caused.
I can respect the setting argument although I can't judge how well it applies here. No offence taken on my part, I slipped into grumpy mod mode (partly because had just woken up). I agree with lisna and (I assume) you btw: that kind of silly voice humour is really annoying

Condolences. One of my pals died from a heart attack at the age of 46 and another one also died from a heart attack when he was 50. They were both in good physical shape for their ages but both of their fathers died young from heart attacks, so it guess it might've been hereditary.
Another friend of mine died last year, from a tumor which wasn't discovered until far too late, and just last week I found out that another pal recently died in a car wreck.

Sorry to hear Plank and Psi. I'm afraid some of us are at the age where we start to see the people we are closest too go.

Thanks RS.

Thinking back to times when everyone was still around seems so long ago.

That's terrible - very sorry for your losses, Plankton. It's difficult enough to experience the death of one friend, but three, in such a short span of time, must be very rough. I'm so sorry.

Very sorry for the loss of your friends as well, Psy-Fi. Condolences.

Thankyou ribbons. Johnny, which is who I'll be attending the wake for this week, was my new disc golf buddy too. He had just started and was getting pretty decent at it, but he smoked a lot. We were supposed to meet up at a local car show but he never made it, and we were waiting for him when we found out from his brother. I have a mini disc he gave me that has "Take me everywhere" stamped on the bottom, so I'll be taking that with me on vacation to Denver.

I'm glad you'll have the mini disc memento from Johnny for your trip - "Take me everywhere" indeed. Hope you manage to have a nice time; with all the recent sadness, it may be good for you to get away. Stay well and take care, my friend.

It'll be a somber one, but yes I'm a little burned out and need a break.

You take care too, friend.
