I think I heard that there were studies done that suggested talking on the phone while driving is just as dangerous as texting... You don't even have to look at the screen. Even if you are using bluetooth it's the distraction that makes it dangerous apparently.

Sounds like bull**** to me but that's just what I heard. Last time I got pulled over I had no licence or anything plus I was buzzed and they just let me go with a warning lol. I love being white.

The cop said that I needed to be driving "hands free," so if I were using bluetooth or speaker phone I would have been fine apparently. I'd be interested in seeing those studies but it's still absurd to me, the first offense for someone that wasn't even looking at their phone should be just a warning in 100% of cases as far as I'm concerned

No but I definitely made sure that I sounded pissed off when he was finished up. I should have yelled ACAB at him
