No, I haven't and wouldn't read the books.

I understand I have to suspend disbelief.

Like i said I did overall enjoy the show... But certain parts irritated me.

Like I wanted to slap the **** out of him when he didn't ditch his boring wife for the crazy English broad.

I did read one of the Dexter books but I just barely remember it. I think I thought it was pretty cool though.

I only read the first one and it was fun and all but didn't compare to the series. I looked up some stuff on how the series progressed and Dexter never had any real arc as a character and eventually it turned out that he was possessed by a demon or something, and the whole thing with Deb finding out Dexter was a serial killer at the end of the first book wasn't even dealt with, as if her acceptance of it was some blasé thing not worth going into. The whole series just sounded shallow and incompetently written, which was the feeling I got from how the first book ended in the first place.

Nah the Dexter book series seems like poor detective thriller schlock with a gimmick. The show was police procedural schlock with a gimmick but far better at it.

Either dead or in jail tbh. He was trying to steal mail and rob his workplace. Best case he's just too unstable to even log into MB.
