What power structure are you using to defend the assumption that he’s supposed to be working? I don’t concede he’s supposed to be doing anything at least not in service of whatever bull**** undeserved authority governs employee behavior at the dollar store. It’s way more legit to ask why he does any work there at all or even why he hasn’t burnt the place down which is closer to the truth or things he’s supposed to be doing.
