I can see it coming to that when I move back in. Trouble is, landlords know students have money (or at least they assume so, and that isn't really the case with me at the moment, but I won't go into that), so they'll use any excuse they can to take a chunk of it. I guess I've just gotta be a bit more careful next year.

As weird as it sounds, it's probably better that way - you're much likelier not to get ripped off. For them, I'd imagine having a property to let in a hotbed for a lot of students who don't really know how to look after their money is like being a kid in a candy store. Well, kinda. And I'm only Bolton, which for those who don't know is basically just a suburb of Manchester. I dread to think what kinda stuff goes down in places like Oxford, Hull or Cambridge.

Today I had to work extra hours.
It was chill. I got to put on whatever music I wanted and stay with the kids who didn't feel like running around. And I made a bracelet. And I played a game of Spit with my friend for an hour and the game still isn't over. All while I felt like crap. Quite a weird day, I must admit. |
