As for me, if my flatmates are still up for it, I'm off a bit later to Twisted Wheel just down the road in Manchester for my first brush with northern soul in a non-MP3 format - should be interesting. |

Awwww Jackhammer ain't having a good day today i'm guessing. Anyways, this weekend was nice. Went and partied it up. Got wrecked. Fell in a fire. Had a conversation with a door on how it was to be a door. And then had a staring contest with the ground.

Argh just found out I can't get a loan to get me through the summer which is a bummer because I don't get paid for the work I put into my thesis .. I get research grant money, but I obviously can't spend those on myself, so then I have to try and get a summer job alongside my research project .. >.<
I wanted to have fun this summer! Money problems suck

Yesterday, I woke up at around 5:40 AM, debating myself on whether or not to go running on the beach, which I eventually yielded to. I ran barefoot for about 3 or 4 miles on the hard-packed sand. By the time I got home, I had 3 blisters on the bottom of my right foot, and 2 forming on my left.
Since it was Mother's Day, I set off to the local hardware store to buy material to build a 5x12 ft. flower pot for my mom to plant things in. Upon my second trip to the same place to return a hoe that had broken, my right ankle began to scream in burning pain. This is when I started limping. After giving my feet some rest, we went to lunch and came back to finish the job. I was on a crutch at this point, and then... my right foot started acting up. So, two crutches it was. I made the cuts I had to, we got the frame built and set in the ground and called it a day. I played some bass with my brother, talked with my girlfriend on the phone (she was in New Jersey with her mom), and retired to my room to read until about 1:45 AM. Today I woke up in even more pain, as it seems to have spread from my feet to my feet and my back. Yipee! I'm gonna go eat a vicodin. |

Get your feet checked out man, I fractured my left foot last year at work, but left it unchecked for 6 days and I was in sheer agony by the 6th day and I ended up missing 3 months to let it heal.
As far as my day is concerned, you know those days where you try and get stuff done but something always comes up to mess it up, yeah that was my day. Woke up nice and early to get to the DMV early to register my new Jeep, but I can't do it because the person who sold me it needs his signature notarized so I had to call him up and arrange it for tomorrow. So then I go home and start work and when I go to print a label and postage with stamps.com, it messes up, but still takes my money. So instead I try and print another label off USPS.com for some priority mail, but then it seems like my printer has changed it's IP address again. It also turns out I was given the wrong address for one of the packages, so I had to call four different people to track down the right address. I'm going to stop right there, but believe me it goes on, I swear by the end of the day I wanted to gouge out somebody's eye and skull **** them to death. |

I got two assignments back from my lecturers today and passed them both, so I'm edging closer to passing my first year in uni. Handed another two in, which means there's only a couple more I have to do over the next two weeks. On top of all that, it's Wigan 1 Man U 0 at half time (though I'm not exactly gonna bet on it staying that way at full time).
This has the potential to be the most awesome day in quite some time for me |
