I went to school to do a couple of cool things like talk to my friends and stand in near freezing weather, and did a fun little skit in Theatre, and then I did nothing in Drama, and then I waited in the cafeteria for my mom to check me out because I couldn't afford a ticket to the shitty thing my school was doing for money, and then i came home and argued with Veridical up above me.

A good day.

First entry:

Woke up, went out for breakfast and learned not to eat the French Toast at that particular restaurant. Mailed off some DVD box sets I sold on half.com, went to Best Buy and bought a big ass CD wallet as well as "As If We Existed" by Sol.ilaquists of Sound which struck me as a shock to find at Best Buy. Had some lunch, played far too much Fallout 3, made some pork chops and rice for dinner, tried to teach my mum how to play Portal, but she couldn't get a hold of the controls with the X-Box 360 (anyone elses parents have trouble with that?) and wrote a review for a CD. All in all a decent day, however I could really do with like... finding somewhere that's hiring.

She just turned 80 not too long ago, but she hasn't been herself in like a year.

There's nothing I can say, other than she's not had a bad innings.
I wish you and your family well dac.

Ah thanks man, I just needed to say it somewhere, because my family is in big time denial over it and I'm the only one who would actually listen to what the doctor was telling us.

Be strong for your parents because even at her age they'll still find it hard to take.
I lost my mother last month. She was 72 and it hurts like hell.
