Gazza's Tears cider is 10%. I think it used to be about 14-16% and you can get it in a few select pubs in Newcastle but everytime they drag it out at the beer festival its a slightly lower percentage.

I'm not sure what I think of Absinthe. It's incredibly smooth and goes down easy, but it tastes EXACTLY like black licorice. If licorice is your thing then you MUST try absinthe. I'm not big on the taste so I'm sure what to think of it.

Lionshead is fantastic and fantastically cheap (it's from Wilkes-Barre, btw). Actually I haven't tried Iron City, IC Light is complete pisswater so I usually avoid it, but I might give it a try. My favorite Pittsburgh beer by far is Penn Pilsner; they've got a great wheat beer. The German restaurant is fantastic as well.

I tried IC Light when I was in Wheeeling, WV, because someone told me it actually tasted like iron. And I have to admit, it did have a distinct metallic taste to me (but it could have been the power of suggestion I suppose). Either way, it was pretty crappy.
