Actually, let's see. The Royal Family show has run for, um, 65 seasons, if you count each reign as a season. If you're going in terms of years, well then, it's more like season 1,300 or so. Damn I love my history! NERD! I know.

But nobody could have guessed the ratings-topping twist at the end of season four, could they? Cancelled, but still looking possible for a reboot in 2024.

I confess to being an Anglophile and weirdly obsessed with Royal family news and gossip, but the Harkles are majorly on my nerves. I do have tremendous sympathy for the terrible loss of Harry's (and William's) mother, but that does not excuse every one of Harry's character flaws that are coming to the fore now - and certainly not Meghan's. H&M seem to have a folie à deux of narcissism going on that is just tremendously annoying and boring.

What next? Meghan for President? I wouldn't be surprised if they were laying the groundwork for this - ugh. :rolleyes:

Spent the morning researching career opportunities and applied to a fully-remote Client Coordinator position at a small pub trivia podcast and app company. They said they're passionate about "useless trivia."

I wanted to differentiate myself from other applicants so I opened my cover letter with these statements:

“Pogonophobia is the fear of beards.”

“Floccinaucinihilipilification is the act of assessing something as worthless.”

...and then went on to describe my passion for obscure knowledge.

Finding that I still had the afternoon wide open, I researched and compiled a list of 17 music book publishers, narrowed the list to those presently accepting unsolicited proposals, authored proposals based on the cited requirements for each qualifying publisher, then sent proposals and chapter samples of my book to the most promising three of the list.

By 12:30 I'd run out of work to do. Hopefully I can keep busy.
