I'll start at Halloween night.
It was fun. I made a playlist, blasted that. Put on my flapper costume, answered the door for trick or treaters, had my friend Monica come over to hang. Gave her some cigarettes and a shot. Lounged around and listened to the playlist. She left, called my boyfriend for a while, fell asleep with him on the phone. Saturday, woke up, showered, got a ride to go pick zee boyfriend up, took him back to my Gram's and chilled, played cards with my aunt, who was well pished at this point over her douchebag boyfriend of 5 years having an affair... so we chilled, played cards, made teh lovez, had an awesome time just talking and chilling. Brought him home at 1AMish. Got back at around 3 and went to bed. Hung out with my aunt this morning (she slept over), had coffee, etc. Now I'm back at mine and leaving for Fright Fest soon. |

I just went to a three and a half hour concert by The Hold Steady & Drive-By Truckers. Both were excellent, but Craig Finn was so drunk he forgot his cues/lyrics a few times.

Halloween was wicked, we built the ecto-1 (the ghostbusters car for all who aren't familiar), ended up being interviewed on the radio because it was that awesome. here's a couple of photos:
and in other news...I'm off on another trip again. This time i'll be going to cameroon for a month to work at a newspaper in Douala, and do my own side project documentaries all over the country on the weekends and on time off. so yeah, insanely stoked for feb. and the possibility of more long-term projects in africa after i graduate.

^nah, we were careful about when and where we put the lights and everything on. Though 3 fire trucks did drive by when that last picture was taken (lights going on and everything) and they just honked their horn, cheered at us, and the last one put their lights on. pretty sweet. we did inadvertently break up a party when we drove up with the lights on, i guess everyone thought it was the cops and scattered. but the party kind of sucked so we thought it was hilarious.
