We have a separate peeler for carrots and potatoes, as well as an actual cheese grater. This thing is handy specifically for cheese in thin sheets.

I don't like using the cheese grater. It's so hard to clean. I prefer to delegate that task to the missus. I'd rather chop onions.

I don't have one of those cheese slicers at home. I do have a large number of bottle openers. One brewery, whose beer I consumed a little too much back in the day, included a bottle opener in each 12 pack.

We had one when I was growing up, but then again we had just about every kitchen utensil ever made at the time. There were a few things I never figured out what the heck they did.

Now I gotta get one for the new place.

Right, the new place. Are you all settled in? I'm assuming you're enjoying it there?

Mostly settled, yes. I'm loving it so far. I'm right down the street from a few of my favorite DG courses and my neighbors are all really nice. We're having a chili cook-off in my garage for the first Bears game. Gonna be kind of a house warming thing.

That's great news. My neighbourhood is great. My kids' birthday party was on Sunday. We had 17 kids in our little house. Most of the kids were from the neighbourhood, as we play with them at the local park. The house looked like it was hit by a tornado when it was all done.

Nice. Thats why I'm having it in my garage. 7 or 8 drunk adults are equal to about that many kids in messes.

Which reminds me, I need to buy a hose.

Our saving grace was the bubble guy. It rained like crazy here. We squeezed the kids in our living room. The bubble guy had them stand in a ring, where he used his want to cover the kids in a big bubble.

Uggh. It had to happen. I just got word that one parent confirmed a case of the 'vid.
