If the average person, particularly at a gas station, knew what Bitcoin is, never mind how to access and use it, I'd be as amazed as if Frown suddenly became a Bon Jovi fan. Bitcoin ain't never gonna become a legit currency, not till Musk takes over the entire world and forces us all to use it.

The fact that it isn't used by your average retard isn't a mark against it

It's advanced technology explicitly designed for an elite class of online pedophiles

That's unfair. It's also useful for drugs and unregistered firearms.

Both of which are useful for coercing children into sex. Is that a coincidence?

For me, it breaks down to the simple question of why? Dollars are fine. Bitcoin started out great, decentralized and everything is awesome but now bitcoin/crypto isn't the same. It's not really decentralized anymore if whales control everything and the platforms are just like modern new banks kind of. This cycle alt-coins have come into the spotlight and coins everywhere have been popping up, so much illegal stuff probably is being got away with I feel. Plus the main crypto kill joy is, that everything is measured in dollars on those platforms too. Crypto has just been a tool to somewhat catch a bull run and make more money than you had before. I don't think it's a scam or the whole stock market would be a scam, but maybe it is? I just don't think it's a good investment unless you are ready for a wild rollercoaster ride and you may lose everything you started with, but if you hold for 3-4 years you may have way more than you started with if halving cycles repeat as they have. Also, 2022 is different than 2013-2014, the FBI has a crypto squad and goes after the criminals using it. The sketchy stuff being done in crypto is stable coins, the largest scam I have ever seen. Tether is creating "crypto" out of nothing to keep the dollar "stable".

Look, all I know is some ****er took me for ten grand with his ****ing crypto scam, so they can all **** off. I use Euros and that's just how I likes it.

I thought you left the EU?

Lisnaholic 05-01-2022 05:31 AM

Trollheart is from the independent country of Ireland, which is a loyal member of the EU and has never had a referendum about leaving afaik. It 's the troublesome NE corner of Trollheart's homeland, the bit called Northern Ireland, which is part of the UK and has therefore been sucked into the whole Brexit debacle.
_______________

Thanks, Mindfulness: not for explaining bitcoin for me as I don't think that can be done. Thanks instead for confirming my decision to never have anything to do with it.
