Yes, definitely Indian-made chai is the way to go,
but I haven't dined in a restaurant since Feb. 2020,
so I've really upped my time in the kitchen making
from near scratch. Plenty of good Indian grocers here
so it's easy to get stuff. Good solid black tea with
various amounts of ginger, cinnamon, cloves, pepper,
fennel, cardamom, nutmeg ... and I sometimes use
vanilla soy milk. Liquid Planet also makes a good one
called "Mumbai Chai" that's fast and easy too.

Most bad experiences are low level douchebaggery and I'm actually better than many would expect at not rising to some *******'s bull**** when I can just ignore it and get them the hell out of the store. But last year there was this anti-mask dip**** who I told to put a mask on who then tried announcing that some nonexistent pronouncement from the governor meant he didn't have to wear one (this was the heart of the pandemic last year) and I was right in the middle of getting into a shouting match with this redneck but my manager managed to calm me down and I'm still pissed I let her do that. Dude wouldn't put a mask on and wouldn't leave until he'd been served and made his infantile point and I was at my most misanthropic over all this ****. I should've ****ing choked him out and gotten fired and arrested. I hope that bitch got sick and infected his grandmother.

they're slow as **** around here bro. Takes ****ing forever and the food is so so. It's like all just slow ass overweight black people working there lol. Like i said in Florida or was better at least they kept the line moving even if you didn't understand them

I don't know if it's BK-wide but from my experience if we're slow it's because we're shorthanded. McDonald's has way more people working at any one time and so they're more consistently fast. Hardee's seems to be just like us not having enough people and so they're slow. When you're working on an absolute skeleton shift everyone is overworked and unable to perform at top level cause we have too many things to do and we're just out of it. When we have enough people we have enough mental energy to do our jobs well and there's an energy to all the cogs turning the right way but otherwise the cogs don't function properly and every minute is a slog that slows everything down.

Ya, i hear that. There's still a ton of stores/fast food places here that are shorthanded. Many of the fast food joints even have their lobbies closed, which ****ing sucks because I hate drive thru.

Dunno maybe but whatever the **** it is they are slow as **** despite not seeing that much business. That's why i don't **** with them. Really bored af with McDonald's too don't really go there anymore. Maybe the occasional chalupa from taco bell is the extent of the fast food i **** with at this point.

really? Only reason to go fast food is the drive thru to me half the time.... If i want to get out i can go somewhere better.

In Florida there was a corner store with a drive thru man i miss that place

I feel like when I'm in the store, I have a better idea of how long I'm gonna be waiting in a physical line - whereas with drive thrus, there could be six SUVs in front of me that are packed with six person families and it will take forever to get through it.

It's also easier to correct an order when a mistake has been made. I normally don't eat the food inside, I just prefer to pick it up inside.
