It would be a fooker to change the OS but many people use XP with a lot less problems than what you are having. Eventually you would have to install Vista (as will most of us) but maybe the myriad problems would be solved? Stepping back to XP would be a pain but maybe more preferable in the short term?

If anyone reading this is having the same problem trying to install Vista Service Pack 1 and you know it isn't because of your applications, disable automatic updates, then delete all your Microsoft updates and try again.
I couldn't delete 4 updates and I think that was because they were badly installed in the first place, which caused SP1 to fail at install.
On reboot download SP1 and install it BEFORE updating Windows.

I could install XP alongside Vista and have a dual boot, but apart from the SP1 problem Vista has been running well without problems.
The irony is, one of the reasons SP1 was released was to iron out incompatibility issues with new software applications, but a lot of people are discovering SP1 is incompatible with what is already on their PC's...causing it to fail.

I've discovered the hard way that the best solution is to reinstall Vista or at least revert back to factory settings first.
It'll save you a lot of time.

last night, my boss came into work drunk, and pretty much told me that he really wanted to **** me.

And I was going to just let it go, but this other guy I work who likes me, decided that I shouldn't be treated like that, told the owner's of the restaurant, and now by boss is demoted to just an employee. Fun day

I played my bass guitar all day at friends and left it at his house and he left on vacation today. Going to be a long and boring week

Day 16 at acting camp, I saw Han**** with some lady friends and my old friends from preschool who I hadn't seen in a couple years and got stocked by some creepy Iraq veterans. Cool day overall.

Typical day so far (a co-worker of mine if extra annoying today)... tonight I plan on finishing a graduation video I've been editing all week. Also, I would like to get some ass tonight... it's been a while.
