I mean it's something from Mexican restaurants but I have no idea if it's anything to do with actual Mexican culture.

Nah it's from France, we just stopped calling it French fried ice cream over some imperialist beef.

I believe during WW1, we had "Liberty Cabbage" and "Liberty Steak" as well (instead of sauerkraut and hamburgers). Hilarious ****.
