I watched a documentary a while ago about the bushmen of the kalahari and their hunting techniques and how they track and run down prey and it gave me a certain respect for hunting even though I've never hunted.
Obviously using modern tech makes it easier but even so there's something somewhat primal about stalking and hunting down prey. It's a more basic and natural relationship between you and the meat you eat as opposed to just picking it up at the store after it's gone t through the process of industrial farming. Plus it's healthier meat and is arguably more humane than domesticated farming. |
