I also was/am a tomboy. In part because my dad wanted me to be a boy, and in part because that’s just what it was, I only really questioned why I didn’t care about being more girlie.

I was tomboyish when I was young, in that i was very athletic (ice skating and tennis, mainly). I would say that I'm feminine but not frilly or girlie, if that makes any sense.

Oh man, I used to eat this all the time! Whenever I'd visit my Aunt Eileen (The Great Pixie rest her soul) she would always give me this with a cup of tea. SO heavy but so good!

I watched a documentary a while ago about the bushmen of the kalahari and their hunting techniques and how they track and run down prey and it gave me a certain respect for hunting even though I've never hunted.

Obviously using modern tech makes it easier but even so there's something somewhat primal about stalking and hunting down prey. It's a more basic and natural relationship between you and the meat you eat as opposed to just picking it up at the store after it's gone t through the process of industrial farming. Plus it's healthier meat and is arguably more humane than domesticated farming.
