*** Googles brown chicken brown cow ***

Uh-huh, something like that (thank you, Urban Dictionary). In other words, you're trying to tell us to "Get a couch!".

We may need a fitted sheet for that couch. ;)

Not a fitted one; it will just keep pinging off!

I did that weird thing where I married someone that I actually like being around, but she also respects that I have my own hobbies that are separate from her and vise versa

I would bet that most of the time anyone that complains that their SO is “nagging” them is probably the problem themselves because they’re being too emotionally distant or just straight up neglecting important needs in the relationship. Which could come down to societally influenced gender roles but more likely it could just be because one or both of the people in the relationship are sacks of ****.

Or for example Allen Ginsberg whining about how women chain you up and inhibit you in Howl. If men can be companions while you have your adventures and endeavours without stopping you, why not women? You're just picking someone incompatible because you're looking for someone to do your laundry.

I find it interesting that you have such strong opinions on heterosexual relationships specifically, since presumably you have very little experience in that regard.

Also, you did say you related to the patrice bit I posted... Exactly how did you relate? You said you're more like a man so you relate but now you day heterosexual relationships are stunted by gender roles... Yet the extent to which you relate is the extent to which those gender roles also creep into same sex relationships.

Are you a fan of those new-fangled outdoor couches then? I always prefer a couch to be in a room, so much more private. And warm. And legal.

keep in mind I never used the word nagging.

A girl doesn't need to nag for me to want some distance. But naturally they do nag as well. And half the time they have a point. The police usually have a point when they pull you over too. Doesn't make it less annoying.

I grew up in a family of women and that's mainly how I relate to it, but sure. I wouldn't say I have strong opinions on straight relationships, more like opinions on gender roles and dynamics between men and women, which (as you can tell by how much I bring it up) has been important in my life
