yes prostitutes, always young , was completely normal in the Country at that time. Likewise Spain I know 1st hand. Obviously really it was against the Army rules but at 18 years old the brain does not rule you....
In the 70's it was normal in Spain for the Husband to go to a Bordello not a street girl pro,f or there you would be taking a risk. We had spoken with Tony in Spain via the days before the Ham Licence on a CB side band Radio ..for several years. Met up with him eventually and we knew him as a English Teacher to the Spanish youngsters. He had a good clear middle class accent on the radio. Husband mainly chatted to him and we had met one of my Sons one time when he needed accommodation for university exchange visit. We arranged to go to his Bar which was his evening work and we knew about it... We sat and had a glass of beer with Tony and then we said he had to go and pick up the staff. He then opened a side door and said this is where the action takes place..It was a room full of Beds.....The Bar he owned and ran was a Bordello.....we were astounded at first but did move on and stayed in touch but never back to his bar for a drink..... |

Some strangeness, but generally a good day.
Cleaning up the yard after days of rain. Spent some time on JQBX with some folks playing some tunes for a couple of hours. Took a kimono to the dry cleaners and decided to go next door to the Schlotzsky's® to get sandwiches, but they had to close up because their oven broke, so I went to another one. Booked upcoming travel plans from October to March 2022 (Big Ears Festival!) Flights, accommodations, parking. Will set up rental cars tomorrow. Finishing up my Don and Moki Cherry book with three nearby snoozy kitties (one in lap). |

No, the Schlotzsky's thing was kinda strange,
because when I walked up to go in, it was locked while one woman was inside eating at a table. So, what was up? Middle of the afternoon with a sole customer enjoying her lunch while the "open" sign being off and the doors locked. No sign or anything about why they were closed. Nothing real bizarre, just weird circumstances. |

Nice, I'll see you there! I booked a room the same week they announced the dates since that's what held me up last time (before COVID held it up for everyone) and got at least one bandmate on board to come. Looking forward to having too many great shows to choose from after going without them for so long.
