Once you're established as a competent employee I bet you kind of just get to do your thing and probably even have headphones in or some **** the whole time (correct me if I'm wrong). Fast food on the other hand I have worked multiple jobs and its fast-paced as **** and there's an extreme time sensitive pressure you feel on every single order. Karen ass mother****ers will raise hell to your manager if you're going slow or screw something up. The space you have to work in is so cramped and hot and sweaty, it's just gross and miserable up in there. Working cash register is slightly better but still pretty awful.
If they paid $16 an hr i would work at a fast food place lol

If you go too slow on an order the customer gets mad. Big deal. Machines don't get mad they just keep going whether you keep up or not.

There's a mental toll to dealing with this kind of thing that you can't really quantify. Some people can handle it better than others. Personally if I have to "get into it" with a customer or something it's the kind of lingering anxiety that dwells in my soul all day long and it turns me into a shell of a person. So no thanks

I'm not looking forward to summer when it's like 120 degrees in there.

Might quit and work at Walmart or something they're paying like $13 an hour now lol. But they don't give hours like that so I would take a noticable hit in my income.

Or maybe I'll put my thinking cap on and learn the art of making whoppers

Speaking of BK, over the weekend I decided to try their breakfast out.

Had a croissanwich, hashbrowns, and a coffee and I gotta say, I'm impressed. Their breakfast sandwich is almost as good as McDonalds - their hash browns are far and away better than McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts - Dunkins hasbrowns are always soggy and greasy and McDonalds hashbrowns come as one larger hashbrown - BKs are smaller and easier to eat without them falling apart - and they're the perfect level of crispiness. Their coffee was just as good as Dunkins I'd say. I'll be back.

I'm sure Batlord will be overjoyed to hear this.

I don't think I've eaten at BK in years. They're like the K mart of fast food to me.

It's not easy. I've explained before but I have to hand price every item in the store along with the owner while people call trying to sell garbage to us and try to haggle over a $3 DVD. Also it's exhausting having to converse with some of the regulars because they think it's a bar and can hang around for an hour trying to bullsh*t while we work.
