As Ribbons said I watched that video (and several others) repeatedly and still found myself staring at the thing all slack-jawed. I worked it out, I’ve done a hybrid technique that works just fine for me and my limited storage space.

I always fold or hang my clothes, linens, towels, etc. I already dress in a style I’ve dubbed “frumpy chic” - if my clothes were wrinkled I’d just be frumpy. I also like to look so fresh and so clean, clean.

Don't you assume my gender.

But let's be real, you should see how many shoes I have. Many women would be jealous. I've got these sweet Allen Edmonds sharkskin monk straps that pair quite well with other pieces of my ensemble.

I've got a sock folding technique that is similar to the military. Except I tuck the outside of the sock inside the folds, rather than pulling the whole thing over.

Nothing pisses me off more than having one sock without the other in the pair. Sometimes my dryer seems to swallow them. Other times they just fall off the face of the earth.

As I've grown older, I just buy the same socks. That way, even if pairs become unpaired, I can repair with ease.

I still haven't been able to force myself to throw the older unpairable pairs away though - they've been with me through too much to simply let them go.

When you really gotta pinch a loaf, it's common knowledge around here in New England that it's acceptable to pull over on the highway, trot out to the forest, and drop your drawers. Squeeze it out real quick. Then back on the road.
