TH I'm so sorry. Take all the time you need. Just remember that he loved you all the way until the end. It's even more tough because its your last one. You never know, one may show up on your doorstep one day. Happened with my dad recently. We lost one of our cats about a year or so ago. Never came home. We were blessed to stumble upon a brother and sister black kitty that were looking for a home and they've been amazing ever since.

Just know that nothing will ever replace your little kitties. The love you put into another if that ends up being the case is all its own. But never forget that even in death, the bond you shared with your kitties will never go away. I got my first cats name tattooed on my arm. I dont go a day where I dont think about him. But I love the cat I have now as well. Which I will also be getting a tattoo for in due time. Dont hesitate to reach out if need be, bud. I care about ya.

Very sorry about the bad news TH. But like you said, he has lived a great life and was very loved, although I'm sure you will miss him terribly. R.I.P. Eddie.

If there's one lesson I've taken from living in a house that's constantly going through binders full of pets it's that the next pet will never replace the last one cause the last one connected with you in a specific way and the next will occupy a place in your heart you didn't even know existed. I'll never tell someone to replace a pet and there is a proper mourning period but if you're in a pet household you know full well you'll adopt another critter eventually and they'll be your newest baby.

Just got the call.
News ain't good.

Ciaran has more or less confirmed that the growths on Eddie's front legs - which are, he says, very large, are cancerous. He doubts it's possible for Eddie to come home now and have any sort of a life, so Karen and I have discussed it - well, come to terms with it really - and there's nothing left to be done. We can't have him living in pain just to assuage our sorrow; I always said when there was no hope, when I had advice that it was time to let go, from a trusted source, that I would.

And we will.

Gonna be pretty sad for a while, folks.

Thanks for all the support and advice, encouragement and prayers. Sadly, there's no longer anything anyone can do, and we have to face that fact.

The last cat standing has fallen.
RIP Eddie.
:(

Sorry to hear that man, these losses are never easy. You'll always have the memories and the knowledge that you made a great life for him. RIP Eddie.

Yeah I'm sorry for your loss TH. I feel bad about our back and forth earlier considering the timing. Best of luck to you.

Thanks Batty. I guess we'll see. Gonna be too raw for quite a while; gonna be very quiet around here now. :(

Yeah thanks man. Sorry I got a little heated. In the end you were right; I just needed to hear it from a source I trusted. Again, no offence.

He lived a long life. I'm sure he was well taken care of too.
