Wow. Did they train at the Mother Theresa Veterinarian School or something? I’ve never heard of such incredible generosity.

Cats especially will separate themselves from their humans in order to pass on. Typically it's done this way so they dont disappoint you. Just make him feel as comfortable as you can which I imagine you have. I can tell you love animals TH and I love that about you.

As far as I'm concerned, you're doing everything right. You're being a good cat dad.

Thanks man. Love ya back!

He's just such a nice guy, really. Initially he totalled it up to 1,600 and I was like are you sure? Five months? Then he says oh that's only for one cat. Then I swear, he wrote down the full figure, didn't even look at me, and scratched the 800 out with his pen. A real gent.

OccultHawk 02-14-2021 10:04 AM

How much would you charge to keep three cats for five months?

Trollheart 02-14-2021 11:43 AM

Sorry?

If someone was in a jam and needed you to keep three of their cats for five months how much would you charge them?

It's a bit hypothetical isn't it? I have no clue. With Eddie here I couldn't do it, and whether I'd be willing to look after someone else's cats is something I couldn't say, but if I was, chances were it would be a friend, therefore I wouldn't charge them, except maybe for cat food and litter. The vet's rate seems to be around 10 - 12 Euro per cat per day, which I think is pretty reasonable.

Sorry to hear TH. That is tough. I've been through it before several times. Never gets easier.

it is what it is. I've said my piece and I won't debate or further.

I probably would've bit my tongue in the first place of o didn't have people saying you're dead inside and you don't know what you're talking about cause you don't love cats like I do.

That’s hella cheaper than €4000

The other side of the coin is that only on mb will people judge your ability to offer advice and/or feel personally attacked by another’s indifference to cats
