A bit of an update. We'll be having a small funeral for now, and then a celebration of his life when it's safe to do so. I was asked to come by yesterday by his daughter (she's such a strong independent soul, like her Dad). We sorted through a few things and every time she handed me something to remember him by, it was all I could do to keep from just losing it. There's a shoebox with about 50 cassettes and mini-discs of our recordings from the 90's somewhere that I'm looking forward to revisiting when she comes across it. All of his grandchildren were there and they all loved listening to the stories I had to tell, and I had a chance to sit in with one of them on drums yesterday, and he blew me away. They all want me to carry on his memory and stop by to jam every now and then. Who am I to refuse such a heart warming request? I really needed that.

I can't thank everyone here enough for your well wishes and support. It means the world.

Plank, I am so sorry and sad to hear of the loss of your dear friend. It’s rare to have such a longtime, devoted friend - and you were very deserving of his love and vice versa. My deepest condolences to you and sweet Hanna. I hope you’ll continue to find comfort in each other during this sad time. I’m glad you were able to visit with his daughter and grandchildren and share your memories yesterday. Hopefully you’ll have more of those jam sessions in the future – I’m sure your friend would have loved that.

Thank you so very much ribbons. He was loved and respected so much by so many. It was very cathartic to sit and tell those stories to those little bright eyed faces.

I'll respond properly later; right now I'm just kind of tearing up at your description. You're a stronger man than I, my friend.

You should see me randomly start sobbing then. All friggin weekend. I'm a puffy eyed slobbering blob of weepiness.

On a bit of a lighter note, his daughter just sent me a pic of the pile of mini-discs that have a lot of our recordings on that she found! Now I just need to find a mini-disc player.

God, minidiscs! I remember them. They were the coolest of the cool for about ten minutes. You could even move the tracks around into a sequence of your own liking, they had readouts, they were just the biz! Never caught on though.

It was overall good, even if I didn't sleep well at night.
At the moment listening to music, to a spotify playlist by mindfulness.

My neighbor’s music came over on my Bluetooth

I hate their ****ing guts but amazingly they were listening to George Benson

Or at least my Bluetooth triggered it off their phone or something

Also I took my dog to the vet
