Oh that's a really sad coincidence, fire
I hope you're ok as far as the circumstances allow it, and that you and your family can find support in each other even in these isolated times

Goddamn I was sad when I had to say goodbye to my father’s mom. Still tears you up decades later. No one in my family has ever had a good thing to say about her either. She must’ve had a hideous side I never saw. Life doesn’t make any ****ing sense.

I am so sorry to learn of your grandmother's passing, fire. It is hard enough to lose a loved one, but grieving your grandmother on your birthday must be especially difficult. Your birth surely must have been a blessing to your grandmother's life. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Very sorry to hear that, fire. Was she old and was it expected? Not that it makes all that much difference, I know. We knew our aunt was not long for this world, but had hoped she would reach the magical age of 100. She passed away a few months short.
Hope you can get over this and will of course remember your grandmother with love and for all the good things she brought to your life, and in time you'll not only celebrate your birthday but her life, rather than her death, as one event. Be well.
