I'm not saying it's the same thing. I'm saying the benefits don't outweigh the risks either. They're no good reason not to just have a car instead. Except your own personal enjoyment. But we take risks all the time.

It's still on a smaller scale, and even if it wasn't it's no valid excuse

It's not an excuse. I am saying I'll take the risks. There's no excuse about that.

I'm just pointing out this cost/risk analysis applies to everything you do. The risk of a one time visit during a pandemic vs a lifetime of riding a motorcycle... Not so sure the one risk is so much higher than the other like you think.

Sure, I was speaking more to the general public.

If I were you I'd be going to see my family too. You're right that everything is risk/reward, and this deep into it those numbers are fluctuating.

There's nothing rational about the "if you don't wear a mask you're killing grandma" line of thinking either.

Whatever you say. I can't speak to the GRE but if I had to guess I'd think you probably fall in the 110-120 range IQ.

Actually you’re right. What’s your IQ?

Unless she gets it and dies and wouldn’t have if you wore a mask which happens everyday.

You couldn’t wait a year? Really? Seems like such a tiny sacrifice.

I've never taken a proper IQ test.

The online ones seem unreliable. Have gotten everywhere from 120-140 most recently. But I've gotten 110 when I was younger. They say it's supposed to be static so idk.

I have no idea where they'll be or where I'll be in a year.

Tbh I don't even think it's that ****ty though. Whether I go or not they'll be seeing each other. So I can choose to miss out or not. You boy scouts and your moralizing shan't deter me.
