Worked another 12 hr shift

The money is alright at this job but I was kidding myself to think I could be a company man

Naturally they have rules like any other business and naturally you find out gradually they don't enforce them

I started wearing a Bluetooth ear bud and listening to cumtown to pass the time. Tons of supervisors, bosses etc had interacted with me when I had it in and never said a word.

Today, my direct supervisor mentions it and stressed it's not allowed. I can't respect dumb rules. It's not a ****ing safety hazzard to listen to a podcast in one ear while feeding boxes into a machine.

Then he mentions my face mask. Wasn't wearing it properly. Guilty as charged. Guess what? A boss higher than him told me on one of my first few days, don't worry about the mask so much unless you come into without 10 feet of someone else. Offered this advice unprompted. I was wearing my mask correctly even though I saw almost nobody else was.

So after that go ahead I started cheating a bit. I know, I'm a dirtbag. But they make you wear safety glasses which is the problem. Can't see a ****ing thing cause the mask fogs up the glasses.

And the glasses are completely unnecessary. Talk about a dumb rule. They're required at like every manufacturing type job. For no specific reason. OSHA regulations. **** OSHA in the ass tbh. Supposed to be protecting me? Just stopping me from seeing clearly you dumb c*nts.

Then the same supervisor seems to get off on watching me **** up. Throws me into a job I never did then grins at me like a dumb redneck and is like "what are you doing?!" At first I thought he was just disappointed in my performance since I haven't sent this tutor of job in a while. Then today he throws me on a new job and immediately I start having issues and I finally start to sorta get the hang of it and then they send this black guy to help me and even between the two of us we can hardly keep up. The dude explains he has the machine on way too fast and it's just being a dick. So we start throwing **** on the floor as soon as we start feeling backed up as a **** you to the supervisor and he walks over with the same dumb redneck grin like "what are you doing?!"

Have to do another 12 tomorrow. Defintely gonna ditch this ****ing job.

Sometimes you just have to be willing to get fired over it if it makes the difference between a doable job or not. 12 hours without feeding your head is merciless.

I’d make up a lie. It’s off it’s just set to alert you if one person in particular calls because a family member has cancer or something.

12 hour shifts are physically and psychologically unsustainable anyway. No point working a job that makes you wish you were dead.

The lie isn't gonna cut it. I just have to hide it.

Yeah the 12 hours is annoying but the normal shift is 8 hours. We're just doing some overtime. Like I say I don't have long term plans for this job but it's helping me stack up in the short term so I'll ride it out for now.

"How'd you lose your fingers?"

"I was listening to Joe Rogans podcast and his stance on possible alien prostitution and the effect it has on homosexual kangaroo marriage in Cucamonga had me so triggered that I jammed my hand into the carton sealer."

Definitely call OSHA and have them eradicate that ****.

It's around $1200 a year, but I get discounts for not being a mouth-breathing troglodyte like the woman who crashed into me.

Bluetooth headphones are definitely a workplace game changer I can't live without anymore.
