As a gay woman I speak for all gays and on behalf of the gays I hereby deem "***got" at a baseline of medium offensive based entirely on the delivery and context.

I don't care about using it against a homophobe because they aren't changing their minds anyways and it has a sting to it for them.

I would never use it to attack someone who is gay.

And yes context makes a difference. Yes it's perpetuating social stigmas along gender lines.. So is calling a guy a little bitch. Hell, so is insinuating that someone is a closeted gay cause they're homophobic. But lefties do this constantly. I had one black friend call the other a "nig nog" (first time I heard that slur) in a drunken fight and the other said "How is he going to call me a nig nog he's blacker than me!?" So hateful slurs used by the people that it's targeting can still come from the same bigoted place. Kind of sad because it shows how black people have been taught to hate their own race.
