Edit: I just realised that the obvious reason I've never understood gay people trying to hit on straight people is because of my experience of straight guys trying to hit on me even when I've said I'm gay. It rarely happens luckily, but god is it annoying

I mean I'm not saying he'd have a high batting average but it does happen.

Honestly if it weren't for certain experiences I had as a teenager it's highly plausible I'd still consider myself straight. I don't believe it's necessarily a fixed immutable characteristic.
