There is a species of spider that uses dead bug parts, pebbles, and twigs to create decoys in it's own image.

Do a google image search for "contemplative [any animal]" and see how smart you feel then, wise guy.

We underestimate animals because they don't speak English. I think that it's more likely that animals experience reality because (1) how is this even a question? and (2) we have more in common with them than may appear on the surface and it doesn't seem likely to me that a very successful incarnation of how brain matter behaves would only occur in one species.
