Was night of the living dead the black and white one? That was boring af. I generally hate zombie movies but even by zombie standards that **** was dull.

I only know night of the living dead and thats equally unscary. I just used two iconic slashers as examples but i feel that way about most horror movies ive seen whichI admit isn't a lot.

You should look into psychological horror films, they accomplish what you seem to get out of scifi horror films. Most modern horror movies are starting to lean in that direction too.

The Shining, The Witch, Rosemary's Baby, Eraserhead, Psycho, Possession (1981), Mulholland Drive, Hour of the Wolf, The Babadook, and The Thing.

The Descent is still the scariest movie I've seen. But I dont watch horror to get scared, I watch horror to feel uncomfortable and see titties.

Treat all the packaging as a potential fomite.

At what point do we go from horror to psych thriller? Of that list I only know The Shining and i dont consider that a horror movie really. I guess my idea of what horror is differs from the norm.

Thanks though ill def look into these.

It's a very very blurry line and The Shining counts as both. It counts as horror mainly because of the supernatural ambiguity and dread. I'd say that the genres are different in that thrillers are suspenseful while horror is suspenseful in addition to being scary, revolting, disorienting, etc. Or they're intended to be, at least.

^ I'm fine thanks MarieMarie. At first I was really worried, thinking it inevitable that I would get cv. Now I'm hoping that if I'm careful, I might escape it.
I'm glad you're doing ok: I imagine people are being very disciplined, very responsible in, er Belgium, is that right? Not so much in Mexico: police broke up a party of 200 young people in Mexico City yesterday, but luckily I am in a much quieter town. Most houses are small, but single story = population density isn't too bad.

I'm on the same version. Is there any significant difference?
