Here's a few scenarios off the top of my head that could be a reality on this website...

1. Mods scrutinize every single post 24/7 and apply the rules 100%. In this case you're gunna have to pay a monthly membership to pay the mods for the time.

2. No mods. Chaos. Call each other retards.

3. Volunteer mods who do their best with a give and take "sometimes we'll scold and sometimes we'll let things go" attitude. You guys finally sh*t the f*ck up and try to have some fun.

4. Volunteer mods who f*cking hate you because you won't stop bitching about sh*t.

Right now we're in the fourth reality. I'd like to be in the third.

To me, the rule is a bit too stringent the way it's worded so it makes sense that you guys would selectively enforce it when an argument actually starts to get out of hand, rather than disciplining any and all insults.

My only real point was the junkie thing since that's what I can speak on personally. It seems to be a new standard being set since I've been getting those comments literally since I came back, had the mods try to intervene in some cases and asked them to stand down which they did.

Why did I want them to let it run its course? Cause OH and them basically ran it into the ground and diluted the insult of most of its potency, which I knew would happen. So I was explaining why I don't necessarily agree with the new standard being enforced.

I have no power so you can dismiss my input. But don't sit here and pretend to me that it is actually not a new line being drawn pragmatically. You've let it slide up until now, so I just will not entertain for a second the idea that the mods were simply unaware.

Don't take it as an attack on the mods. It's just how I see it. You have flexibility, and you should. I was just saying that new line being drawn is imo unnecessary.

And they made this place suck to be a part of in the meantime with their pointlessly toxic behaviour. Everyone just rolls their eyes and scrolls past that stupid **** and it doesn't add anything of value to the forum (****, I remember back in the day when some of those back and forths were actually cheeky instead of catty and inane). That's more the issue than which name is being used.

I scolded him because I didn't want another five page round of douchey name calling. I still think calling you a junkie retard is rude as hell but everything he says is rude so who am I to pick out one thing? Frown is right. None of these back and forths are clever or witty. It's just trash.

I sort of agree with jwb that the rules are bent like hell for people. I simply made a mistake by calling tristian "bro" but OH and Oriphiel simply can just call him w/e and get away with it. sorry for throwing yall under the bus but i honestly made a mistake, yall purposely offended him :o:
