That's the same excuse you always use but it's nonsense. Seeing that it seems to either be a completely new rule that calling me a junkie is off limits or one you just recently decided to start enforcing, the whole "this is the way it has to be" notion is hard to buy.

Obviously the rules you guys decide to enforce are completely arbitrary. I'm not questioning your right to enforce them. I'm just expressing my opinion on their ultimate affect.

More like there's only a few mods and we enforce things when we see it. I don't understand why some of you think every single post gets scrutinized and discussed. We do our best. Also, your stupid opinion is stupid. It's hard enough to moderate the entire site in a general sense but apparently we're supposed to remember if you give a sh*t or not if you're insulted. How about we try to moderate the boards in a general sense where everybody gets the same treatment or close to it as we can? Wouldn't that make sense?

Idk where that mantra entered the conversation, I said that name calling is prohibited by the rules in order "to keep this place from just being thread upon thread of annoying, pointless bickering." Your criticism that not allowing name calling gives more power to the names being used doesn't really challenge that notion. So, request to permit name calling is denied. You should show us an example of how to take a differing opinion without getting defensive now.

Didn't say we were perfect but we'll make a better effort of making this place boring to people who are entertained by that toxic behaviour. Consider this as an example of constructive criticism that mods take note of without being defensive or pointing at the rules.
