:finger: @ the white whiny existential angst in this thread

If you can't handle reality then maybe that's natural selection's way of steering you towards the rope-and-wobbly-stool store.

Yeah I get it no matter how intelligent you are you have no ability for abstract thought or imagination, so you're just like "Why do people keep talking about stuff that isn't facts and ****? Weird."

jwb 01-05-2020 08:26 PM

Yea... Cause not being suicidal = lack of imagination

The Batlord 01-05-2020 08:28 PM

I mean this is something that's bean clear to me for a long, long time now. You just do not grasp abstract thought. You need your thoughts to be, I don't know, physical? Concrete? Whatever. You're smart as a whip but a complete void for abstract thought.

I don't think you actually know what abstract means. I can understand the concept, for example, that we can't necessarily know anything beyond the fact that we are conscious (via Descartes). But ultimately that means very little pragmatically. It doesn't affect how I live my life in the least.

So it's not that I don't understand abstractions... I just try not to get lost in them.

Thank you for adding absolutely nothing to the conversation

You see you're using very direct logic to try to understand abstract logic, which shows that you don't understand abstract logic. And I mean it would defeat the purpose of abstract logic if I could explain it to you. Just imagine dreams I guess.

What did this add? I'm not gonna debate 6 of you at once anymore unless you say something worth responding to.

Again... Tell me what abstract means

You can't use a word to make a point if you don't even know what it means

Said the guy who wants to turn the discussion into even more of a meaningless semantic circle jerk.
