IMO wait for someone to actually get offended at least.

In my mind, silencing people and deleting posts over the term junkie or retard only adds to the stigma and power of the words.

That's part of why I don't like when mods step in on my behalf. It's not anything against you as people but in a school yard fight the last thing you want is a teacher's help.

Refraining from using the term junkie doesn't change my past or current situation. The facts are the facts. That's why the word doesn't bother me.
