Well I’ve had all kinds of feelings about it. At this point I think the best way to put it is I was collateral damage to his oppression. It’s complicated **** but teachers, social workers, and even the police are often part of the problem and part of the solution. I’ve gone into detail that I considered myself a part of an oppressive institution. Wherever you are on the food chain if it’s not the top or the very bottom you’re oppressing others while being oppressed yourself. The hierarchy keeps the blood on our hands.
