My Psychology degree did nothing for me except put me $40,000 in debt. It especially was irrelevant when I applied to a low-level IT job with 0 experience, learned rapidly and outperformed all my coworkers, taught myself everything I needed to get important certifications, then got multiple huge raises within a 6 month timeframe in 2019
In a lot of ways I was dealt a good hand, but I also know the work I put in and feel justified in defending that

2. Doesn't really matter cause you have one job and no kids. When you have those kids and you're still planning all your meals down to the nickel then you can brag.
