Well, now you mention it, they do bug me tbh: if you use them not only are you doing someone out of a job , you are actually doing the supermarket's work for them without being paid. But probably worst of all is that if you can't get things right and need help, people mistakenly imagine that you're some bumbling oldtimer out of synch with the modern world. :(
