I mean this is something that's bean clear to me for a long, long time now. You just do not grasp abstract thought. You need your thoughts to be, I don't know, physical? Concrete? Whatever. You're smart as a whip but a complete void for abstract thought.

I don't think you actually know what abstract means. I can understand the concept, for example, that we can't necessarily know anything beyond the fact that we are conscious (via Descartes). But ultimately that means very little pragmatically. It doesn't affect how I live my life in the least.

So it's not that I don't understand abstractions... I just try not to get lost in them.

Uh... I could give you a dicitonary definition but that wouldn't really help. It's literally something that can't be described. It's why people use physical descriptors to describe art, like music being heavy. Do you understand why Black Sabbath is described as heavy?

In the case of abstract thought it literally can be described.
