Little things can make me so happy. I had never heard Walk Away Rene by The Left Banke on the radio and today they played it. Another sadly forgotten great band from the sixties...

Ja, I'm the same way with crab, but it was because I was five years old and ate way too much of it. Now it makes me sick unless it's in a sushi roll to mask the crabbiness.

Just paid my housing and enrollment fees for school next semester, looks like I'm moving out in a month.

to speed up the process maybe and not wait for the body to take it's time removing the harmful stuff.

Yay another snowday. I did want to do some laundry early in the morning and the snow put a damper on that but I'll get it done in the afternoon.

Somehow I feel like my metaphor was not understood here.

If you're already "a constantly erupting two ended volcano" what's there to speed up?

So the Christmas holiday has begun. I'm so glad I could cry

WWWP 12-20-2013 01:37 PM

It's the busiest day of the year and I had three people call in sick and one employee had a heart attack. I didn't know what to do so I sent her an edible arrangement.

This morning I was asked out for drinks by both the dude at my bank and my mailman.

I guess things are okay.

She's ok now, she's being released from the hospital this afternoon. She called and APOLOGIZED and I was just like JESUS SANDRA DON'T BE SORRY, FFS. And then I used my company AmEx to buy her a basket of chocolate covered strawberries because idk I think that's what I would want if I had a heart attack I guess?

Also I turned both of the dudes down because honestly after this week the bar scene sounds like the last thing I want to do.

Sorry you've had a crummy week butt. I don't get back from the theater tonight until like one but maybe I'll see you. OH! Closing at the theater gives me an awesome excuse to get some serious reading done. I'm excited about this.

Because of the week you had is the reason you should have taken them up on the offer. Bad move .

I can't feign interest in people when I'm grouchy though.

ladyislingering 12-20-2013 03:42 PM

maintenance just came to fix our toilet (again) because it was running and this dude just walked off with our toilet tank.

I REALLY HOPE THAT WAS FUNNY TO WHOEVER MAY HAVE SEEN HIM

Cheese 12-20-2013 03:59 PM

Had a visit from my landlady first thing. She bought an 18 pack of Coronas and informed me this weeks rent's on her given the money I've saved her in repairs

No problem but at least you lived in the moment and had somewhat of an okay time.

drink plenty of water and break out all of your hangover cures. It was totally worth it!

Christmas Holidays are here, finally!
Today is my sister's 16th birthday, so I've had some cake today.

Also, I received my Yamaha DGX-650 Portable Grand Digital Piano yesterday.
I'm so happy since it sounds way better than I expected it, I simply love it.
Basically that made my day. :)

I'm about to all, "Et tu, Brute?" to at least 10% of my Facebook friends, and then drop their asses. I never even watched Duck Dynasty, and an old dude from Louisiana being anti-gay does not surprise me, nor would it but blip on my radar. The gut-wrenching support for this *******, though, from people who seemed decent...but are now letting their anti-gay flags fly...that is what is getting me.

That bearded ******* was but a butterfly, and now there's a ****ing tornado.

I'd like to be able to Facebook, go out in public, or go to work without hearing this ****. I don't wanna be the gal who gets butthurt and goes to HR, but come Monday...so much as a whisper, and I'm coming down on them with the wrath of God when he ostensibly flooded the Earth. No nans.

97% of that went over my head lol

ThePhanastasio 12-21-2013 10:57 PM

Short version: Some guy from a popular reality show made anti-gay comments to a magazine. He compared it to less savory things. His employer, the network, suspended him indefinitely. Douchebags on my Facebook, while I'm waiting in line, and at work think he was right to say what he did, and choose this occasion to talk about how anti-homosexuality they are, generally in much less savory ways than this dude did. And I'm gay and non-confrontational. I've given it a few days, but if I hear homophobic remarks Monday or later, I am going to HR.

Many thanks for the explanation. I'm not gay, but I agree with you re the homophobic remarks.

That's cool. What was the first song you played on it?

Respectfully disagreeing and going all-out burn the gays in an oven is a welcome relief. I personally spent years trying to find heterosexuality in me, but it just didn't exist. "Straight porn" was weird and quite frankly, made me more upset than anything else. What are your arguments, if you are not trolling?

Sorry no ones disagreeing. If you see my reply to your previous post you'll see I accidentally hit the "/" key. Paul was taking the p*ss disagreeing with it :thumb:
