Feels bloody good, don't it. Like being unshackled. Or let out of a cage. :)

Try-hard fake bitch at my work will be gone in January. DREAMS DO COME TRUE!

Whoop! It's good to be free of try hards. :)

CanwllCorfe 12-14-2013 10:32 AM

Oh my god a full day off. Welp friends, the new job is still great. My shift (2-10) is now 2-12, because the machine I work on has a lot of work. Me and my friend AJ will be working 10 hour shifts for quite awhile methinks. There's also usually Saturday. Sunday we always have off, except the supervisor mentioned maybe even having to open up on Sunday too. I really, really hope that's not the case. I'd rather not work 8 hours every day of the week. If I have to I obviously will, but it would still suck. I got a new car (2007 Corolla) and my benefits went through! I'm insured! Hallelujah or something.

Especially when they're skanky and need to wash their acne-ravaged face.

What if she had the personality of a pet rock with an awesome wig/weave though?

Congrats. Nice to see things are going well for you.

I am watching the temperature drop to -25. Even yellowknife is warmer! I live in the southeast of canada and decembers usually never get colder than -5. Are we having a mini ice age? This is record breaking!
Edit: temperature got so cold that my electric thermometer broke.

She'd still be on my sh*t list.

Cheese 12-14-2013 05:25 PM

Thanks to my itchy clicking finger I now have a 1600km trip to make. Ah what the hell I'm on holiday and the weather for the most part is good so bring it.

I find this discussion to be rather derogatory towards pet rocks. Rocks are as valid pets as anything else and you should be ashamed for thinking otherwise. Mark my words; the next big equal rights struggle will be for pet rocks.
:soapbox:

Definitely. Personality is a big thing, so if she doesn't have one she's obviously just another drone. ;)

Wow, that's really cold for you guys. Bundle up! Here it's -12 and we're expecting to be dumped with snow overnight. Supposed to have 1 foot by the morning.

Zer0 12-14-2013 07:26 PM

It was 15 degrees C here during the week. #sucks2bcanadian

Nah, not really. I love snow and I like the colder weather better than hot weather.

Zer0 12-14-2013 07:36 PM

Yeah it was unaturally warm for us considering it's winter. We had one morning of snow a couple of weeks ago but not much. I'm actually hoping for a few snowy days over the Christmas though.

Mild weather is fine too, but here that usually means it's going to rain. I hate rain! If it's dry and mild, great.

Sorry:shycouch: Wasn't up with what scale you used

Paul Smeenus 12-14-2013 11:42 PM

'12c = 10f. It's effing cold compared to anywhere except Alberta, Manitoba, the Dakotas, etc.

Very few chicks irritate me as much as that one. All she ever does is create more work for everyone else, can't mind her own business, and just generally acts like a bitch. She was coached today for her laziness and I was so disappointed when she came out and still had a job. I'm fairly certain our temp manager will eventually call her out on wearing miniskirts (not acceptable to the dress code) or she'll fuck up in some other manner but she just really needs to go.

She disgusts and irritates me so much that I specifically requested that one of my favorites help out with recovery in my area today - just because said favorite actually does her fucking job and doesn't create drama or stand there talking with her friends all day.

That said, I generally don't like people that don't appreciate their privilege of having this job.

Sansa Stark 12-15-2013 12:03 AM

nah I was making more of a general statement, it wasn't really directed you lol

I'm pretty happy. I have no tents tests or anything I have to do. I can relax the next three weeks and finally I'll have some time to do things I really love.
Thank God for Christmas vacation (even if I don't believe He really exists...)

Oh yeah. Easier to divide up units of measurement as well. 1,760 yards or 5,280 feet in 1 mile versus 1,000 metres in 1 kilometre? Or 100 centimetres in 1 metre? Yeah. :thumb:

Sansa Stark 12-15-2013 11:30 AM

There's only one way we Americans learn metric tho

lmao

Paul Smeenus 12-15-2013 11:35 AM

I always gas up in Bellingham when I go to Vancouver, not because gas is so much cheaper there (it is) but because I fecking REFUSE to buy gas in liters. Gimme gallons any day, tyvm

Frownland 12-15-2013 04:07 PM

Food poisoning is not the fucking business. I woke up with stomach pains so brutal I thought it was appendicitis and almost went to the hospital. Now I just feel like someone's stabbing my intestines, which is an improvement from this morning.

That it does. I learned my lesson on buying Little Caesars.

Christmas shopping: Done. All on the internet, without so much as darkening the doorstep of my neighborhood Walmart. Not been there since mid-November. And...no gift cards! I guess I still didn't get my Secret Santa gift, but we are not exchanging until the Saturday after Christmas.
