I overheard some people having an interesting discussion over venomous versus poisonous species. One of them said that it was scarier to come in to contact with a venomous creature since it can kill an adult in minutes. The other said that was nonsense because they never heard of anyone being killed with venom, but they hear about people being poisoned all the time.
