You're like the Queen of retail.

I'm having a lot of trouble holding my tongue lately (been snippy with people, yelling at their kids, etc.) so I imagine more interesting stories will follow.

I like to think we're goading you on. I've always wanted to be a bad influence.

There's no snow here anymore though. The little bit we had melted yesterday when it was above 0 degrees.

Mr. Charlie 12-12-2013 04:31 PM

Are you people talking celsius or fahrenheit?

We use Celcius in Canada. I think the US is the only country that still uses Fahrenheit. So 0 degrees is the freezing mark here.

The temperature went up to -10. Still cold.

Mr. Charlie 12-12-2013 04:41 PM

Very cold.

I'm so happy that it's going to snow this weekend and we are going to get 4 to 8 inches of snow.

Be Jealous!

It's -4 F if you didn't look it up and went up to 14 F

Mr. Charlie 12-12-2013 04:52 PM

-4F is god awful cold. Brr. Do you live in the city or country? Snow in cities is good for an hour or two tops. Then it gets driven on and trodden on and turns to grey, filthy slush or, worse, ice. I didn't like the snow in New York.

djchameleon 12-12-2013 06:40 PM

I live upstate so snow sticks and stays pretty for awhile before it gets to that grey slushy state.

Mix of city area/suburbs.

ladyislingering 12-12-2013 06:50 PM

My mom kept me on the phone for 2 hours today and all she talked about was the weather. It was -48 degrees below zero (Fahrenheit) there yesterday. Then she proceeded to talk about my deceased cat and for the 400th time she just had to explain her feelings about the situation, then of course she had to babble about more stuff she's repeated a million times. On top of that we were discussing Alzheimer's disease, which I almost feel like she's entering the early stages of.

Mr. Charlie 12-12-2013 06:56 PM

To be fair if it was -48F here, I mean that's F*CKING COLD, I don't think I'd shut up about it either. I hate the cold and that sounds painful. How do you breathe in that temperature? Ouch.

butthead aka 216 12-12-2013 06:59 PM

Yah 10 degrees here was freezin

Had dumb training for work but then took my client to applebees then dunham sports and then a nativity scene so pretty fun

Dec. 13th is a sad day for me. In 2009 on that day, my BFF from Mason, OH (suburban Cincinnati) was killed by Mason police with tasers. His name was Doug Boucher, but to me he will forever and always be Dougie.

^^ That's a sad and horrible story. Few things worse than the betrayal of those meant to serve and protect.

Sorry to hear that, brother. Thats an awful thing to happen.

I AM A MOTHER****ING KNOWLEDGE MACHINE.

I was going to do a bit of studying today for my Psyc final in like, four days, when I get an email from my prof that reads "It is your final exam, and you are not here".

Holy Jesus ****.

She was a saint and let me reschedule it, but the only opportunity was 3 hours from finding out I missed it, giving me a finite amount of time to learn all the things.

That said, it may not have been my best, but I triumphed that mother****er and now I'm getting drunk.

that's shocking. I used to live near Mason; it's a really pretty suburb with a lot of nice people and lovely houses. I'd never imagine that something like that would ever happen there.

Sorry for your loss. :(

Dougie was beautifully crazy and profane. He would've fit in perfectly here.

You cray bb!

I had the most amazing night, I got asked to have a beer and hang out with my Brazilian flatmates and we had a late night bbq, lot's of beer and some funny ****. As by Brazilian tradition we will have another bbq tomorrow at lunchtime and continue the fun. It was good because this guy I live next to talked smack about me in the morning, I got him to get a talking to by the house manager and then he didn't come out to smoke all night because he knew I was out there enjoying myself. Guess I'm not on the internet now ****wit! He even lied about what he said loudly this morning.

Paul Smeenus 12-13-2013 11:52 AM

I posted an album review Dougie wrote that makes a great read, esp. for fans of Gabriel-era Genesis, and ESPECIALLY if, like Dougie and myself, you loathe what they became in the '80's
