i'm just scared of the house going up before i can get out. it happened so fast last time, and the dry heat/low humidity/high wind conditions are almost exactly the same as in 2017. i wanted a safety barrier against the embers that get thrown ahead - that's how it spread so quickly last time - and my yard is like all redwood droppings, basically all kindling. but then again i've heard even dead redwood needles hold a lot of moisture and aren't as flammable as they look. idk i'm just scared.
