It was what you’d expect

so you spent money on a ticket for an artist you don't like all that much just to come to mb to fit in with the tool hate crowd.

gotta give you props for that one man. that's a new level of internet trolling.

A. I didn’t buy the ticket

B. I did compliment them, the concert was great. They’re a much better concert band than a “listen-to-at-home” band, in my opinion anyway

Fair enough. I'll just forget you said this tho and continue to think you're trolling.

I always try to sneak in a few zees while I’m tripping on acid at a Tool concert.

I don't hate the band but I do hate the fans.

Mostly cause when I first started internetting as a teen I was posting in the music section of some forum and there was this one guy who was such a pretentious **** and he worshipped tool.

Went to a lot of concerts but only tripped once. Rush, 12/2/1977, Fitchburg Theater. They hadn't made it big yet so it was a pretty small place.
Stage still looked like this with only a single small synth (hidden in the pic).

Elbows on the stage right in front of Lifeson. Was so amazing except for the half hour or so I freaked out thinking the truss over my head was going to fall and kill me.

You just answered what i was thinking. Im neutral when it comes to tool and most times when i see them get hate ppl just attack their fanbase. I mean i get fanboys are annoying but if the artist music is actually not that bad idk why they would die on that hill.

for me it goes a bit beyond basic fanboyism

It's how arrogant and pretentious they are about it. They talk about the band and the artwork and everything related like it has this deep inner meaning. Almost religious about it.

Like dude was telling me rap lyrics aren't deep cause they're just about everyday **** where as Maynard he sings about how the gravity from Saturn can affect your mood. Not a made up example, he said that and he was serious.
